3rd Anniversary Bead-Patterns the Magazine Issue 18 Jul/Aug 2008
Executive Editor: Deb Moffett-Hall
Welcome friends to issue #18
This is our 3 year anniversary issue! 18 issues of exciting projects and step by step instructions geared to make beading FUN, not frustrating. This issue has a few quick and easy take-with projects for summer stitching; Linda Gettings shares her Chevron Seeds bracelet and Sandra D. Halpenny has created a fun loopy necklace with cubes, seeds, and crystals. Let your creative side out to play with two free-form projects: Dottie Hoeschen has fashioned a twisted wire pendant and encrusted it with beads and Marilyn Peters has us “Doodling” a gorgeous bracelet with seed beads, crystals, & pearls – anything goes! To get a jump on your holiday stitching there’s a Christmas-in-July peyote ornament project too. Enjoy!
Best Wishes & Full Bead Dishes, Deb Moffett-Hall - Editor
Square stitch a cube base and decorate with two colors of seed beads to create the chevron design. Fast & Fun!
Cubes, Loops, & Crystals - Page 7 By Sandra D. Halpenny
The luscious colors of this delightful choker necklace will set off a summer tan to perfection. Quick and easy to stitch, it’s a great take-along project.
Huge hibiscus blooms make a bold summer statement in odd count peyote. This bracelet can also be worked in even count peyote skipping 1 row of side beads and adding the missing beads using brick stitch.
Doodle with beads to create your own unique bracelet with size 80, 110, & 150 seeds. Draw a pattern of loops, bead the loops and fill in a few of those loops with crystals and pearls. No two will be the same!
Christmas in July! Merry-Go-Round Ornament - Page 26 By Deb Moffett-Hall
Originally designed in 2003 for B & B’s 10th anniversary. I thought it would be fun to update the design & share an excerpt with our readers on our 3rd anniversary. Use even-count peyote for the band and add brick stitch points. Enjoy!

Summer Cyclone Pendant - Page 30 By Dottie Hoeschen
Create this twisted free-form pendant from two gauges of wire. Decorate the top third with a unique focal bead and fill in with bits left-over from other projects. Add a dangle at the tip for flirty movement. Easy & FUN project!
Hex Diamonds, Earrings & Bracelet - Page 34 By Linda Gettings
Brick stitch large Hex beads into stunning earrings with opulent fringe. A coordinating bracelet complements the earrings without being too matchy-matchy.
