3rd Anniversary
Bead-Patterns the Magazine

Issue 18      Jul/Aug 2008

Issue 18 (Jul/Aug 2008)
Executive Editor: Deb Moffett-Hall
     Welcome friends to issue #18

This is our 3 year anniversary issue! 18 issues of exciting projects and step by step instructions geared to make beading FUN, not frustrating.  This issue has a few quick and easy take-with projects for summer stitching; Linda Gettings shares her Chevron Seeds bracelet and Sandra D. Halpenny has created a fun loopy necklace with cubes, seeds, and crystals. Let your creative side out to play with two free-form projects:  Dottie Hoeschen has fashioned a twisted wire pendant and encrusted it with beads and Marilyn Peters has us “Doodling” a gorgeous bracelet with seed beads, crystals, & pearls – anything goes!  To get a jump on your holiday stitching there’s a Christmas-in-July peyote ornament project too. Enjoy!

Best Wishes & Full Bead Dishes,

Originally designed in 2003 for B & B’s 10th anniversary.
I thought it would be fun to update the design & share an excerpt with our readers on our 3rd anniversary.  Use even-count peyote for the band and add brick stitch points. Enjoy!

Watch for new carousel creatures to mix and match with this pattern at www.bead-patterns.com.

Create this twisted free-form pendant from two gauges of wire. Decorate the top third with a unique focal bead and fill in with bits left-over from other projects.  Add a dangle at the tip for flirty movement.  Easy & FUN project!
