Flat Odd Count Peyote
| Odd Peyote -1 | 1. Stitch begins by alternately stringing the first two rows of beads indicated for your project, this base row of beads should add up to an odd number. (Photo Odd Peyote - 1) | Odd Peyote -2 | 2. String first bead indicated for the 3rd row, skip the last bead added in the previous row, and pass through the next bead in the base row. | 3. When you reach the end of the row you will string a bead and find that there isn't a high bead to pass through to complete the stitch. To lock this last bead into position remove your stop bead and tie the tail and the working threads together. (Photo Odd Peyote - 3) | Odd Peyote -4
 | 4. Pass working thread back through the last bead added and begin stitching as before: stringing a bead - passing through the next high bead. Turning after completing this row is the same as even count peyote a simple matter of adding a bead and stitching back in the opposite direction. Row A (Photo Odd Peyote - 4) | Odd Peyote -5
 | 5. When you reach the end of the next row you will again string a bead that needs to be held in place by thread instead of another bead. To do this, pass your needle from back to front under the loop of thread on the side between the last two rows of beads. Take care not to split the thread as it weakens it. Pass working thread back through the last bead added and begin stitching as before - stringing a bead - passing through the next high bead. Row B (Photo Odd Peyote - 5)
