Bead-Patterns the Magazine Issue 3 Jan/Feb 2006 Executive Editor Deb Moffett-Hall
Welcome friends, Happy New Year! 2006 is here and I’m still wondering how 2005 went by so fast. This is the start of our first full year of issues and we are very excited about all of the wonderful projects we have lined up for you. I would like to take a moment to invite our readers who design original beadwork to consider sending your favorites to our magazine for possible inclusion in the line up. Perhaps there’s a talented but shy member in your Bead Society whose work would be enjoyed by many. Please encourage them to send photos- I love to feature new designers and am happy to work with them on the instructions. This issue features a bracelet bonanza! Everyone likes the (nearly) instant gratification offered by the short length of bracelets. They don’t require a huge investment of time or beads and are a terrific way to taste test a new stitch or two. There are many stitches to choose from: R.A.W, peyote, loom, square and ladder stitches all create stunning adornment for your wrist. We have necklaces too! Sandra D. Halpenny shares another of her lacy seed bead delights, Linda Gettings shows us a new trick with peyote stitch. Chalaedra has a clever brick stitch bezel and earring set to challenge your skills.
Best Wishes & Full Bead Dishes, Deb Moffett-Hall - Editor
