Bead Shop

Teri Ann Fox (center) in her booth at the Bead & Button show 2004 with her beading buddies L-R Connie Clazmer, Deb Moffett-Hall, & Rosemary Ighel
Terri Ann first began beading anklets in the 1970's in Key West Florida. Terri has always had an affinity for working small and paying attention to fine details. She studied & worked as an architect and interior designer. As a hobby, she created miniatures. That's a straight pin at the top of the embroidered bag to the right!

In the summer of 1999 Terri Ann began to explore creating wall hangings that featured designs formed from beaded fringe.  A stickler for precision Terri Ann quickly found that Japanese Delicas gave her the uniform look that she desired.  Her wall hangings proved very popular and TA began ordering beads and making kits - Beadangles were born!

By August 2000 Terri Ann placed her first big order for Delicas in 100 mg bags.  She sold the kits via her website and on the EBAY auction site.  Packaging the kits often left odd amounts of left-over beads so Terri Ann began to sell the beads too.
For the first year or so it was a challenge building the business.  It was nearly 1 ½ years before she had every color of Delicas available for sale on her website.  Then disaster struck. On February 1, 2003 a space heater started a fire.

The workroom was totaled, and worse, they lost two beloved cats to smoke inhalation.  Luckily their Schnauzer Moby, who was just a puppy at the time, was fine. Terri Ann was devastated but refused to call it quits.  She worked hard and soon had the business up and running again!

Terri Ann says the best thing about her bead business is all the lovely people she has met through beads.  Her customers become her friends.  (Editor's note: That's how we met!)

From totaled to back in business!
