Mother's Bracelet How to Plan & Correctly Size a Mother's Bracelet
by Deb Moffett-Hall

These custom made bracelets are a popular gift for Mothers & Grandmothers to celebrate Birthdays, Mother's day, or to welcome a new baby. Here's a plan for designing your own version using sterling silver alphabet blocks, Swarovski crystals for birthstone details, and sterling silver accent beads and a Bali toggle clasp. Get your alphabet blocks early before the popular letters are sold out!

Materials:
  • 4mm Alphabet blocks as needed for each name
  • Size 11 good quality silver or silver-lined seed beads
  • 4mm Daisy spacers (number to be determined)
  • 4mm Daisy multi-hole spacers as needed; Two 2 hole spacers for two names, Two 5 hole spacers for three names
  • 3mm Swarovski bicone crystals, at least 2 for each name in the proper birthstone colors
  • 10mm wide hole-to-hole Bali-style silver cylinder beads, (number to be determined)
  • 3mm wide hole to hole Bali-style bumpy spacer beads, (number to be determined)
  • 14mm Bali-style toggle clasp, 1
  • Medium or fine bead stringing wire & crimps to suit (use the strongest wire that will fit as many times as needed through your beads)
  • 2 headpins for adding additional accent beads
  • Tape measure, metric ruler and/or metric slide gauge
  • Cheap craft wire for stringing test designs
